Children's free paint program, now available in Thai, with Thai input! :-)
Posted September 19th, 2007 by edm
Hello! :-) I'm a Canadian high school teacher, and I thought I'd let you know that the development team for Tuxpaint, a free, open source paint program used by millions of children around the world (in more than 60 languages!), on linux, windows and mac computers, has recently been updated.
Specifically, Thai input has been added! Please spread the word to children, schools, teachers, parents, etc.

Thank you very much for the support.
Looking briefly at the source, it seems to be a one-to-one Ketmanee key map, with KHOMUT (0E5B) added from TIS-820.2538. In fact, TIS key map seems to be also planned, seeing the commented entries. (Note, however, that FONGMAN [U+0E4F] is at the grave [`] key, not underscore [_].) Would it be possible to add the full optional key map(s)? Otherwise, the current map looks fine.
Besides, Thai input method is more than simple key mapping. Sequence checking/correction is expected for normal operations. See http://linux.thai.net/~thep/th-xim/ for more information. Is it possible to add such support as well?
Thanks for your care about Thai children, BTW.
