Prerequirment

แผ่นสำหรับ boot ซึ่งควรจะประกอบไปด้วย

        o fdisk
        o format
        o sys สำหรับ boot เครื่อง
        o Driver Cdrom
        o Mscdex.exe

ขั้นตอนการติดตั้ง

  1. ทำแผ่น boot dos โดยควรจะสามารถทำให้รู้จัก drive cdrom ได้
  2. ทำการสร้าง Dos partition ขนาดอย่างน้อย 4 Mb (โดยใช้ Fdisk )
  3. format harddisk ที่ทำการแบ่ง partition ไว้
  4. ทำการ install netware จาก cdrom ใน directory
     \netware.312\netware.312/install/install.bat
  5. เลือก install new netware3.12 จาก netware installation utility menu
  6. เลือก retain current disk partitions
  7. ป้อนชื่อ server
  8. กด Enter ผ่านเมื่อถามค่า ipx Internal network number
  9. จากนั้นจะมีการถาม source path ของข้อมูล ให้แก้เป็น
     D:\netware.312\netware.312\system_1
 10. จากนั้นจะมีการถาม source path ของข้อมูล ให้แก้เป็น
     D:\netware.312\netware.312\system_2
 11. จากนั้นจะมีการถาม source path ของข้อมูล ให้แก้เป็น
     D:\netware.312\netware.312\unicode
 12. กด F10 ผ่าน view choice menu
 13. เลือก Dos file name format จาก menu select the file name format
 14. เลือก No เมื่อถูกถามว่า Do you want to specifyl any special
 15. เลือก yes สำหรับ load server.exe ใน Autoexec.bat
 16. จากนั้นให้เข้าสู่ server name prompt
 17. พิมพ์คำสั่ง load install เพื่อเข้าสู่เมนูการ Config ต่าง
 18. ทำตามเมนูไปทีละขั้นตอนโดยจะต้องสามารถ set ให้ได้ดังนี้คือ
        o แบ่ง netware partition จาก disk option ให้ได้ 100 Mb
        o Edit ไฟล์ Autoexec.ncf และ startup.ncf
          โดยจะมีเข้าลักษณะคำสั่งเอาไว้ให้ข้างล่างในครับ

คำสั่งใน file Autoexec.ncf
file server name ชื่อ server ที่ต้องการ >
ipx internal net 100
mount all
load ne2000 frame=ethernet_802.3 int=A port=300 name=ipxne2000
load ne2000 port=300 int=A frame=ethernet_ii name=ipne2000
load tcpip forward=yes
bind ipx to ipxne2000 net=100
bind ip to ipne2000 addr= เบอร์ ip ของเครื่อง > mask= เบอร์ Netmask
เป็นเลขฐาน 16 ด้วยนะ เช่น ff.ff.ff.0 คือ 255.255.255.0 เป็นต้น
คำสั่งใน startup.ncf
load isadisk port=1F0 int=E
จบแล้วจ้ะสั้นๆแค่นี้แหละไม่ต้องตกใจ
